Environmental Concerns

At T.S.B. Steel, we continuously reinforce the importance to cultivating awareness of all personnel to be both conscious of the environmental challenge ahead and our corporate commitment and duty to improving standards.

We regularly initiate and host public awareness campaigns designed to provide society and our surrounding communities with the knowledge and understanding of how and why sustainability is an influential factor within our industry and what T.S.B. Steel is doing to ensure that our own business model and corporate vision complies the very highest of international standards, ISO14001.

The Health and Safety of everyone in the workplace is absolutely paramount to the future of our business, T.S.B. Steel has strictly followed and adhered to the requirements of environmental law and regulations in Thailand to ensure the finest and safest work practices.

We focus on continuously improving our environmental management system.

T.S.B. Steel has an environmentally-conscious operating system and is continuously developing organizational and production processes in accordance with international standards, ISO14001.

It is our responsibility to focus on the prevention and control of pollution such as odor, noise, dust and air in order to limit the impact of our business practices on the environment and the surrounding communities.

We have implemented strict processes to manage and reduce the emission of various waste gasses. These include the meticulous observation and analysis of noise levels in smelters, rolling mills and surrounding communities.

We have installed systems and have practices in place for the ongoing measurement of air pollution, including the rigorous testing and analysis of emissions from the flue (Stack Sampling) to ensure that any emissions produced by T.S.B. Steel comply with industry and regulatory guidelines.

Environmental Innovation

At T.S.B. Steel, we use modern, high-performance technology at our steel milling facility. As a result, steel production does not have to go through the baking process with an oven that burns potentially environmentally damaging fuels such as liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), heavy fuel oil or other combustible substitutes as used in the past.

With a process known as "Direct Charge", which is used as a working procedure for a tool to transmit billets into the rolling process, production does not have to go through the traditional iron-oven process, resulting in a considerable reduction in our overall fuel consumption.

The reduction in fuel consumption in using the “Direct Charge” technique, results in a substantial decrease of carbon dioxide (CO2), nitrogen oxides (NOx as NO2) and sulfur dioxide (SO2) emissions further moderating waste from the reinforcement steel production process, thus improving our environmental footprint.

As the industry continues to have a significant impact on the environment, T.S.B. Steel is committed to lead and innovate change within the steel industry in order to remain pertinent and compliant, whilst working towards a more sustainable business model and bringing the customer, nothing short of excellence.
